Aquiles Torres, born in Caracas, Venezuela. A luthier by profession, he has had a long choral career since 1976 with the Simón Bolívar University Choir, the Schola Cantorum of Caracas, Florilegium Musicum of Caracas, Polyphonium, the Camerata of Caracas, and as a participant in the symphonic-choral productions of the Venezuelan National System of Youth Orchestras. Living in Houston since 2003, he was a member of the St. Lawrence Chamber Choir and the Houston Hispanic Choir (currently HCH). At present, he is part of the instrumental group Interludio, where he shares with friends the joy of performing Venezuelan and Latin American music.
