Lisbeth Portillo

Born and raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Lisbeth discovered her aptitude for music during her senior year in High School as a member of the class choir. She was an active member of the youth choir in “Iglesia de la Virgen de Fatima” in her home town which served as the base for a more formal music experience as a founding member of the Chamber Choir EXODO. As the solo Soprano in the group, she often performed a Spanish version of Schubert’s Ave Maria in wedding ceremonies. Her passion for singing did not stop after moving to the United States in 1996, as she kept singing in social settings and gatherings. She is currently the singer soloist of the Venezuelan Folk music sextet “Interludio” and joined the Hispanic Choir of Houston as a Soprano in September 2023.
