I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in July 1978. Since my childhood, my parents noticed that my crying seemed to express something deeper than a simple need. As I grew older, I found joy in sharing moments with friends and forming meaningful connections. However, I always felt the desire to express something beyond words. It was in 1994, with the purchase and rental of professional karaoke equipment, that I discovered a way to channel that inexplicable feeling. Singing became my passion, and although I had no formal technique, my love for music led me to liven up parties and contests. The reaction of the people varied: some wrinkled their faces, while others laughed and enjoyed the show. After emigrating and facing a personal loss, I found comfort in singing. It was then that I decided to take classes with the soprano and director of the Texas System, Jessica Colmenares. Under her guidance, I learned the fundamentals of singing and joined the Hispanic Choir of Houston as a tenor on August 15, 2022. Thanks to her leadership, the support of my fellow choir members, and excellent musicians, I have embarked on a professional journey in choral singing. Currently, under the direction of Maestro Cruz Cabrera, we are facing new challenges and opportunities. My experience has been an exciting adventure that combines passion, discipline, and personal growth.
