The professional career of Wilma Cedeño, a graduate of Pedagogical Sciences from UCAB,
Venezuela, is a solid testament to her firm commitment to music education and the advancement
of choral art. Her training at the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory in Barquisimeto, Venezuela,
where she taught a wide range of theoretical and practical disciplines, established her as a key
figure in music pedagogy. Her postgraduate studies in Latin American Musicology and orchestral
conducting, coupled with her extensive experience in prestigious educational institutions,
demonstrate a tireless pursuit of academic and professional excellence.
Beyond her teaching skills, her participation in prestigious vocal groups such as the Schola
Cantorum of Venezuela and the Coral Fundación Empresas Polar demonstrates her exceptional
interpretive ability and her capacity to collaborate on high-level musical projects. Her role as a
founding member of the Simón Bolívar Symphonic Choir of El Sistema underscores her dedication
to innovation and the promotion of Venezuelan musical talent. Furthermore, her leadership as
director of various choral ensembles, including those of the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory and

Currently, her position as Coordinator of the Choral Department of El Sistema Texas and founding
